What You Need to Know

We are looking for a Project Planner to join our established team at our facility in Great Yarmouth. Based on Beacon Park, this is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week. This position is an integral part of the Proserv Project Delivery team, taking ownership of the project schedule, proactively managing it and ensuring alignment from all stakeholders.

Our Project Planner will help establish and support Proserv’s current and future global projects. Reporting to our Manager of Projects while working closely with project managers along with other individuals in the engineering, operations, and commercial teams.

The project schedules must allow for a portfolio understanding across projects to make priority decisions as and when required. In this role, you will also support sales with bid schedules, although the primary role will be to develop robust schedules in support of project development and integrate and monitor schedules from various vendors into an integrated master project schedule and ensure that capital projects are progressed per the schedule.

What We Are Looking For

* Develop and create various process compliant schedules including but not limited to schedule related responses for RFP/RFQ, project EPC baseline schedules, resource loaded schedules and project change-driven schedules in a collaborative environment with project managers and various other teams, including but not limited to Sales, Engineering, Commercial, and Operational teams.

* Develop, process and integrate multiple schedules into a master project baseline schedule, developing visibility for resource constraints, workload requirements and opportunities for execution improvements. This process will need to incorporate forecast and target projects to ensure prospective project can be executed in a timely fashion to meet the customer needs.

* Cost and resource loading of schedules to be completed to support our periodic progress update process and to provide efficiency output when comparing to actual progress and costs.

* Ensure that project planning and schedule standards are implemented, and all project related activities comply with the project baseline schedules, project vision and strategy.

* Provide analysis, reports, and review of contractual requirements regarding project controls and its scheduling.

* Schedule analysis and interrogation. Ensure all project activities are consistently updated and maintained, utilising PowerBi reports and liaising directly with Workshop, Engineering and Procurement contacts.

* Assist in preparation of Monthly/Weekly schedule reporting. Preparation of the required reports shall include assisting with the draft of the Monthly/Weekly Schedule Narrative.

* Periodic performance report and planning dashboard generation, including but not limited to: Critical Activities Report along with KPIs for Start-on-time (SOT) and On-time-delivery (OTD), Baseline Deviation Report, Earned Value Performance Index Report which includes CPI and SPI, Project Cash Flow Report, S-Curves, look ahead and critical path reports.

* Risk and change management, ensuring all risks and changes are managed and captured in the project schedules by following our management system processes for both. Clearly communicate the positive or negative impact of these on the project schedule, to all stakeholders.

* Where changes, risk and/or schedule variances have significantly impacted the project schedule and progress reporting is impacted, recommend re-baselining of schedule, carry out all required activities to implement this and present to Project Manager and all stakeholders, including the client.

* Pro-actively monitor your project schedules to ensure potential scheduling problems are identified and communicated early and provide mitigation options to resolve.

* Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance, lookahead reports, performance variances and critical path analysis.

* Facilitate and participate in weekly and monthly schedule reviews.

* Where required, liaise directly with client planner(s) on schedule related topics.

* Support in maintaining and improving the planning and scheduling processes for the global operations especially for project execution which will require you to work closely with other business units including global PMO across all sites.

* May require attending on-site visits to review construction/manufacturing progress as well as meeting with other Proserv offices overseas.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

Education

Essential

* Relevant job experience essential with a particular focus on planning for major EPC projects.

* Excellent working knowledge and experience of Primavera planning.

Preferred

* AACEI, CAPM or PMP certification.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Procurement, Operations, or a technical degree in a related field.

Experience

Essential

Proven experience in EPC Project execution.

Requires project planning software knowledge and level of proficiency of both Microsoft Project, but more importantly the latest version of Oracle Primavera P6.

Must demonstrate an understanding of Project Management techniques and standards.

Ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule and deliver project/program status reports as required.

Ability to work in a team environment using effective communication.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Capacity to work on schedules in live meetings with schedule projected for team engagement.

Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.

Ability to perform delay and critical path analysis.

Must have a strategic understanding of Project Planning and MRP.

Professional individual capable of interfacing with clients and speak on behalf of Proserv.

Willingness to develop an understanding of the communication process and ensures effectiveness (written, verbal and listening) across functional and managerial boundaries.

General awareness of commercial terms and conditions and the risks/opportunities of each as applicable to contract management and business execution.

Demonstrated abilities to motivate a diverse group of people to successfully complete schedule objectives.

Must be customer focused.

Preferred

Proven experience working in Subsea Oil and Gas industry preferred, especially in a project-based manufacturing environment.

Understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and testing processes especially the interfaces between each group.

Knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI applications

Experience with either an MRP or ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics (D365).
