First People Solutions is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a leading civil engineering contractor, committed to delivering a variety of civils projects across the Central Belt of Scotland. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil engineering, particularly within the groundworks and infrastructure sectors.

As a Contracts Manager, you will be an integral part of the delivery team for projects across the Central Belt of Scotland, ranging from £500k to £10m. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead from the front: Take charge of the entire project lifecycle, ensuring everything runs smoothly, meets contract specs, and hits deadlines.
Collaborate and innovate: Work closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to bring project visions to life, tackling challenges head-on as they arise.
Drive progress: Monitor and manage project milestones, coordinating resources, subcontractors, and materials to keep everything on track.
Set the standard: Ensure all contractual obligations, including quality, health and safety, and legal requirements, are met and exceeded.
Stay ahead of the game: Conduct risk assessments, anticipate potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Be the voice of the project: Lead meetings with clients, stakeholders, and your team, ensuring everyone is aligned and up to date.
Inspire and guide: Provide leadership and mentorship to your project team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Required Background and Experience:

Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or a similar senior project management role within a civil engineering contractor.
Strong background in managing groundworks, earthworks, and infrastructure projects.
A degree or HND qualification in Civil Engineering is preferred.
