An exciting opportunity as now arisen for a Sales Manager.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for spearheading the company's sales initiatives, working with OEMs, End Users and Distribution, managing existing accounts and working on developing new business,

Responsibilities

* Developing, maintaining and strengthening an existing portfolio of customer accounts along with driving new business development

* You'll use a consultative selling approach, your technical expertise, and ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both End Users, OEMs and Distributors towards these goals.

* You will research customer needs and develop an understanding of their applications, then apply the proper technologies to improve their overall cost of ownership and productivity.

* You'll work in collaboration with an amazing group of individuals, across all business functions.

* Attending trades shows and exhibitions

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

* Developing and executing growth strategies for both existing accounts as well as new prospective customers.

* Accelerating growth of new products and solutions.

* Pursuing opportunities to expand our business in new markets.

* Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments within target markets.

* Making regular sales calls to pursue and discuss opportunities, providing training and other technical support, and increasing overall mind share.

* Following up on leads (both self-generated and provided through marketing initiatives).

* Timely and accurate utilization of our CRM systems.

* Developing and maintaining short, mid, and long-term sales plans.

* Communicating high value sales activity to contribute to effective product and service planning.

* Providing top-quality customer service for all clients and prospects.

* Monitoring and communicating competitive activities to identify opportunities and/or countermeasures.

ABOUT YOU

* HNC/HND/ONC/BTEC/Bsc in Mechanical Engineering or similar

* 5-10 years of progressive sales/key account/business development experience or equivalent industry knowledge gained in the Industrial Engineering industry. Experience in Mechanical Power Transmission is a bonus

* Experience in selling Power Transmission products or Mechanical Components is highly preferred

* Experience in some or all of the following industries – Material Handling, Bulk Handling, Waste & Recycling, Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying

* Firm understanding of the MRO business is preferred

* CRM experience is preferred

* Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
