We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer Supervisor. This is a great opportunity to make an impact with our client who are going through a period of growth. Based in the centre of Carmarthen.
  
Monday to Friday working hours. Salary 32.5k plus dependent of experience Permanent position Based in Carmarthen   
What will you be doing.

 This role involves managing and co-ordination of Production Operatives and engineering processors of a busy, production facility. 
You will have responsibility for a small team of five production operatives, ensuring compliance to Quality, Technical, Food Hygiene and Food Safety standards. In addition, a broad knowledge of production processes is required from a mechanical standpoint to ensure smooth running of the various lines and the ability to highlight, pre-empt and rectify problems.  
You must be a hands-on leader, able to ensure the production function is run in a smooth and efficient manner. As Engineering Supervisor, you will pay attention to the production plan and forecasts to ensure the correct volumes are being manufactured at the right time.  
You will be the person would be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the line. 
The position will involve all aspects of the production process from raw materials entering the site through to packaging of finished products.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team to ensure that the automated machines are continuously running to plan along with ensuring a high quality and consistent product is being produced with minimal downtime of the machines.
There will be a requirement to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with other departments.
You will have mechanical engineering experience, a background managing a small production team ideally within a Food Manufacturing environment, a good fit could be from a small-to-medium sized operation where a “hands-on” approach is required.
The successful candidate would also be required to cover general site maintenance as needed with minimal impact to the production. What do you need…

This role is suitable for an established Engineering Supervisor or team leader seeking an opportunity to step up a level.
You will have a solid mechanical engineering background. Pneumatics & electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
Knowledge working with state of the art, automated machinery or bottling facilities would be desirable but not essential.
This is a hands-on job, and you will have the ability to identify problems before they arise and resolve them efficiently.
You will be confident, strive to get results in a busy production area, resourceful, and have a demonstrable track record of man-management and problem solving.
Broad understanding of manufacturing lines and machinery
Forklift truck licence desirable but not essential.
