We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative who will be responsible for the efficient, safe and accurate storing, issuing and receipting of goods, stock and supplies in a timely and accurate manner and the delivery of high-quality service to all customers.
Key Accountabilities
Unloading containers and ensuring safe storage in the racking or allocated floor space, ensuring that the computer records for location of goods are correctly maintained.
Booking in stock received – paperwork completed and submitted to accounts for processing.
Booking in Goods returned – GRN completed and sent to Business support team.
Preparing the days despatches, receiving pick notes from upstairs, picking and packing any goods, ensuring correct serial numbers are despatched from the system.
Booking carriers to collect goods each day for UK or Ireland.
Ensuring the warehouse is always kept clean and tidy.
Assisting other divisions on an ad hoc basis.
Filing of GRN’s, goods received notes – to enable quick retrieval should they be needed by staff or audit.
Working with the Warehouse Manager on insurance claims and ensuring that records are kept up to date.
Ensuring that company policies and procedures are always followed.
Working closely with all departments for ad hoc requests.
Ensuring that company policies and procedures are always followed.
Undertake all duties in such a manner as to comply with Health & Safety and security procedures and guidelines.
Knowledge and Skills
* Prior experience of working as a Warehouse Operative or stores / distribution function.
* Good numeracy skills.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Understanding of Warehouse processes.
* Understanding of Health and Safety and security procedures.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Word and Excel.
* Forklift Truck Licence

* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Time management skills and the ability to assess and manage priorities.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure.
* Diligent attention to detail.
