About the Role:

Are you a passionate and experienced SENCO looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? Schools across South East London, including Lewisham, Bromley, Greenwich, Bexley, and Southwark, are seeking a dedicated SENCO to lead their SEN provision starting in September 2024. 🌟

This role is ideal for a driven and compassionate professional committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their learning needs, receives a supportive, tailored education. 🌱

Key Responsibilities:

* 📚 Lead and manage SEN provision across the school, ensuring all students with SEN receive appropriate support.

* 🤝 Oversee and coordinate the work of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and Teaching Assistants (TAs).

* 📝 Develop and implement strategies, policies, and practices to improve outcomes for students with SEN.

* 🔍 Regularly review student progress, update individual education plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate records.

* 🌍 Work closely with external agencies, parents, and carers to create a holistic approach to support.

* 🎓 Train and guide staff on SEN best practices, fostering an inclusive school environment.

* 🏫 Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to integrate SEN policies into school-wide strategies.

What We're Looking For:

* 🎓 Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification or significant SEN experience.

* 💡 Proven experience in managing SEN provision within a school.

* 📖 Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and inclusive education strategies.

* 🗣️ Excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire and support staff and students.

* 💛 Patience, compassion, and a strategic mindset for managing students' diverse needs.

* 🤝 Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders for the benefit of SEN students.
