Join Our Finance Team as an Assistant to the Head of Finance

Are you ready to elevate your career in finance? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to provide essential support to our Head of Finance and assist our dynamic Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the primary point of contact within the Finance Department in the Head of Finance's absence.

* Ensure all postings in our Accounting System are accurate, contributing to the timely production of monthly Management Accounts.

* Prepare a detailed Balance Sheet reconciliation file, ensuring all accounts are fully reconciled.

* Collaborate closely with Purchase Ledger Clerks, the Credit Controller, and various departments to foster effective relationships.

Qualifications:

* GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

* Accounting qualification desirable or currently studying.

* Proficient IT skills, with an understanding of Microsoft Business Central (a plus).

Knowledge and Experience:

* Relevant experience in an office environment where relationship management is key.

* Strong understanding of business requirements and the ability to meet deadlines.

* Experience with budget setting, monitoring, and control.

* Knowledge of quality systems and strategies to meet business needs.

* Understanding of accounts production up to the Trial Balance stage and the regulatory framework.

* Familiarity with stock principles and the movement of goods.

Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to develop systems and processes to achieve objectives.

* Strong analytical skills with a knack for creative problem-solving.

* Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships and negotiate effectively.

* Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
