Position: Practice Development Officer / Practice Educator - Workforce Development Team
Location: Liverpool City Council
Pay Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and registered Childrens Social Worker to join Liverpool City Council's Workforce Development Team in a non-case holding capacity. If you have a passion for mentoring and supporting the professional growth of social care learners, this role is an excellent opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
* Mentorship and Guidance: Support and mentor learners, including newly qualified social workers (ASYE), apprentices, and Step-up students.
* Programme Development: Design and deliver comprehensive learner programmes to support Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for the social care workforce.
* Training Delivery: Deliver high-quality training sessions, utilizing extensive knowledge of children's legislation, case management, policies, frameworks, and procedures.
* Quality Assurance: Promote good practice, undertake audits, and support the Quality Assurance Service to enhance organisational standards.
* Supervision and Support: Provide mentorship and support to Practice Educators within the team.

Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Practice Development Officer or in a similar mentoring/training role.
* Proven expertise in developing and leading ASYE and other social work learner programmes.
* Strong understanding of children's legislation, frameworks, and best practices in social work.
* Exceptional communication and training delivery skills.

Working Arrangements:
On-site presence is required at least three days per week, subject to diary arrangements.
