Senior NGS Research Scientist

Location – Oxfordshire

Our client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experienced NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

* Acting as technical lead on R&D projects for the improvement and development of NGS assays

* Oversee project delivery, outlining practical resources, delivery criteria and milestones

* Deliver project results and present data through internal and external meetings

Suitable applicants:

* Research and/or Postdoctoral experience focussed on NGS development, including troubleshooting and validation, for commercial applications.

* Proven experience performing R&D projects, with clear evidence of managing timelines and deliverables

* Educated to PhD in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience)

* Deep knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing

* Good commercial acumen with understanding of product pipelines

Suitable candidates can expect a permanent position with a competitive salary commensurate to experience (plus benefits)
