We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Motor Fleet Underwriter to join or tenacious team. This is a great job for someone who comes from a broking or underwriting background and is passionate about developing in their career.

This role does require you to go out on broker visits across the Southeast so there is a need to be flexible with travel.

A bit about the job:

Within this role you will be responsible for servicing brokers, underwriting new business, renewals and MTAs. You will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business. Partnering with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure we provide whole customer solutions which support these. Additionally, you will:

* Operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow the book of business

* Have regular meaningful face to face meetings with brokers and/or customers to build their confidence in us and to make Aviva their insurer of choice

* Deal end to end with brokers/customers book of business

* Be dedicated to your professional development and grow your understanding of the wider commercial business

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

* Previous fleet underwriting experience is essential

* The ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers

* Ability to work collaboratively within a large, sophisticated organisation

* Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation

* Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases
