Mechanical Engineering Manager

H9 Technical Recruitment are hiring for a Mechanical Engineering Manager to work across our clients fleet of EfW plants in the UK and be responsible for the delivery of mechanical related projects and tasks. The role comprises the development and introduction of fleet wide mechanical engineering standards and supporting and advising sites on safe solutions to technical problems as they arise. The role also comprises the oversight on H+S related mechanical issues and impact on the GE+ Safety Rules
Role and Responsibilities:
Implement Health, Safety and Environmental and Quality Management systems
Ensure compliance with, and performance of, designated safe System of Work responsibilities
Provide engineering support and development for all EfW sites
Conduct onsite monitoring of the development of mechanical projects
Use engineering and design information to support the development of the sites CMMS
Conduct the initial development, delivery and ongoing review/revision of fleet wide mechanical engineering standards
Oversee H+S related issues in regard to mechanical aspects and impact on the GE+ Safety Rules
Education and Experience
Senior supervisory experience in an Engineering and Maintenance function related to steam powered electricity generation or similar
Detailed knowledge and experience of Safe Systems of work, Safety Rules and Permit for Work Systems
Mechanical or related Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Membership of an appropriate Engineering institution
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
