Senior Electrical Design Engineer sought, Maidstone. Build Maintain Recruit are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a progressing MEP Consultancy based in Maidstone. You will be joining an award winning multi-disciplinary Consultancy with an appetite for onward growth.
The Role:
* Lead the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential builds
* Produce detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit
* Ensure compliance with UK regulations, standards, and safety guidelines
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget
* Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior team members
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical design engineering
* Proven experience working on HV/LV power distribution, lighting design, and fire alarm systems
* Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671)
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight deadlines
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, with Chartered status (or working towards it) being a strong advantage
