Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Cornwall

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of cutting-edge projects, leading the design and development of mechanical services (HVAC building services engineering) systems on varied schemes within the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the mechanical design process, from concept through to detailed design and implementation.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical services and systems.
* Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
* Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and deliver solutions.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical design (HVAC / building services engineering services), ideally in a senior or lead capacity
* Strong knowledge of building services engineering systems, components, and design software
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results within deadlines
* Excellent communication and team-working skills
* Degree in mechanical engineering, building services engineering or a related field
* Ideally, MCIBSE or similar
