The School and Role
ABC Teachers is actively seeking a motivated and adaptable Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to support a range of secondary schools across Hall Green. This position is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in education and a desire to gain valuable experience within diverse classroom environments. You will be working in dynamic school communities that are dedicated to nurturing a positive learning environment and supporting the academic growth of students. Located in the vibrant area of Hall Green and surrounding areas, our partner secondary schools are well-regarded for their inclusive culture and commitment to student development. With a supportive staff team and a focus on delivering high-quality education, these schools provide an excellent platform for aspiring teachers and education professionals to build their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring continuity of learning
Support students in their work and manage classroom behaviour effectively
Work across a range of subjects and year groups, adapting to the needs of each school
Requirements
The successful Cover Supervisor will have;
A strong understanding of the UK secondary school curriculum
Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Flexibility to travel within the Hall Green area and work in various schools
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
