Development Chef

K.A.G. Recruitment have been instructed to support our client to recruit a Development Chef to join their existing team in Bromborough.
Job Title: Development Chef
Location: Bromborough, Wirral
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week – Monday to Friday
Purpose of The Role:
Working across the fresh and added value pork category. Your role will consist of working closely with key stakeholders and retailers to develop and innovate new and exciting products
Core Reasonability’s:
* Sample and idea Creation (Preparation of raw meats and added value components.)
* Ordering of new NPD Materials (Ingredients and Packaging)
* Creation and completion new recipes.
* Participate in customer visits, innovation session and presentations.
* Kitchen Management – Ensuring materials are stocked / cleaning schedules are adhered to / Maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe working space.
You will ideally be a culinary enthusiast with strong communication skill, good organisation and problem-solving ability. Who has the capability to work to deadlines within a team or solo in a rapidly changing environment.
Experience of working within a Food Manufacturing environment, ideally within meat would be advantageous. You will be comfortable within a meat environment and be able to conduct organoleptic assessments/taste panels of meat products (pork, beef, lamb, and poultry).
The role may require travel to other sites so therefore a full UK driving license is a must have, with the flexibility to travel on occasion
