This is a fixed term contract until March 31st, 2025.

What we offer:

£26,000 pro rata.

8-hour shifts, between the hours of (Apply online only)/2300 to include weekends.

flexible shift pattern.

The Role:

The purpose of the role is to provide a uniformed presence to deter and reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB), reduce other offending behaviours within neighbourhoods, provide reassurance to residents and business owners, increase community safety and confidence, reducing fear of crime.

This will be achieved via foot patrols in specific locations at agreed times. You will patrol as a team of two in specific areas.

Main Duties:

*

Engage with members of the community, actively solve issues of ASB in hot spots as appropriate.

*

Utilise the full range of tools and powers available to address and prevent future ASB.

*

Actively engage with the public, businesses, and other organisations to understand their concerns, gather intelligence, and provide feedback.

*

Ensure information, intelligence, and reports outside the scope of the service are referred to the police or other relevant agency.

*

To provide a highly visible presence via foot patrols in specific locations at agreed times.

*

Engage with those committing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) assess the circumstances and understand the causal factors of ASB. To provide advice, information and guidance and to refer to relevant support services.

*

Engage with those concerned about/affected by ASB, providing advice, information, signposting and referral to relevant enforcement services.

*

Ensure information, intelligence and reports outside the scope of the service are referred to the police or other relevant agency.

*

Deliver ‘on the street’ interventions as appropriate for the purposes of rehabilitation.

*

To prepare progress reports of Service User progress and record interactions

*

To attend meetings with stakeholders as required.

What we expect from you:

*

Strong verbal and written communication skills

*

Experience in roles that involve effective communication such as customer service or other public facing roles, i.e. Support worker, Probation, Police and Prison officers etc.

*

Willingness to work nights and weekends and in all weather conditions.

*

This role is subject to passing NPPV 2 vetting

*

You must have the right to work and lived in the UK for three years
