Role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the classroom and across the wider school community. This position is perfect for a graduate looking to immerse themselves in the rewarding world of education while building a strong foundation for a future teaching career.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons. Help to manage classroom dynamics, ensuring all students remain focused and motivated.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra help in specific subjects. This could involve assisting with literacy and numeracy skills or helping students prepare for exams.
* Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and prepare resources, activities, and materials that align with the curriculum. Develop creative strategies to make lessons exciting and accessible for all learners.
* Get involved in the wider school community by helping with after-school clubs, arts, sports, or other enrichment activities. This is a chance to showcase your own skills while broadening students' horizons.
* Build positive relationships with students to support their emotional well-being and personal development. Act as a role model, promoting confidence and a love for learning.
* Assessment and Feedback: Assist in evaluating students’ progress through marking, observations, and providing constructive feedback that helps them achieve their goals.
