EA Associates are currently working working with a well-respected surfacing and asphalt contractor based in Suffolk. Our client is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their team; This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor looking to take the next step into a managerial role, or for an already established Contracts Manager seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the successful delivery of multiple surfacing and asphalt projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

* Manage a team of site supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and clear direction.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

* Coordinate and oversee all project activities from initial site setup to project completion, including ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations.

* Assist with the preparation of project budgets, tenders, and estimates.

* Liaise with the project team to resolve any issues or delays and ensure smooth operations on-site.

* Conduct site visits and inspections, providing reports and ensuring all quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a surfacing, asphalt, or related construction field is essential.

* Proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role within the construction sector.

* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in surfacing/asphalt projects.

* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively handle challenges.

* A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to motivate and lead a team.

* Relevant qualifications in construction management or similar would be an advantage (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
