About the role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be providing one-on-one support to a young boy in Reception with Autism. This child is non-verbal, with Polish as his first language spoken at home. He can display physical behaviours, such as banging his head on the table when overwhelmed, but is also affectionate and responds well to nurturing care. His mother suggests that hugs help calm him down during difficult moments. You will play a crucial role in helping him regulate, navigate transitions, and settle into daily routines. Your calm, patient, and compassionate nature will make a real difference in his school experience. This role will involve working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and the child's family to create a safe and supportive learning environment tailored to his needs. Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with Autism or other SEN.
• A calm and patient approach to behaviour management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-verbal children.
• Experience working with EAL students is beneficial.
• Right to work in the UK and relevant DBS checks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism in Reception.
• Help the child with transitions and daily routines.
• Use calming strategies to assist in emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies.
• Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child and his family.
