Teaching Assistant - Reception Class
Position: Full-time (Temp to Perm option available)
Pay: £85 - £90 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Reception team in Enfield. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education, ready to support young children in their first steps at school. You will work closely with the class teacher, supporting children’s learning, play, and development in a warm, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Assist individual students and small groups with activities, encouraging curiosity and active participation
Foster a positive, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued
Support children with basic skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social development
Help with classroom organization, preparing materials, and tidying up after activities
Requirements:
Previous experience with early years or primary-aged children is desirable
Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient demeanor
Enthusiasm for working with young children and supporting their growth
Ability to create a fun and structured environment for learning
A commitment to fostering a positive and engaging start to children's education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
