Quantity Surveyor Opportunity (Construction & Infrastructure)

A prominent player in the Tier 1 sector, is currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis.

I'm seeking someone within the construction industry, who has a strong attitude towards building relationships, client development, and a strong ability to use excel, filing, and deliver work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors. Act as the main point of contact for financial and contract-related discussions.
Cost Management & Reporting: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for projects. Provide regular reports on project performance and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Project Administration & Filing: Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed. Manage project records and financial documentation in an organised manner to support seamless auditing and compliance.
Advanced Excel Management: Utilise advanced Excel skills to create comprehensive cost models, perform data analysis, and support decision-making processes with well-structured financial information.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify, analyse, and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring effective risk management and mitigation strategies are in place.
Contractual & Technical Expertise: Review and interpret contracts, specifications, and technical drawings. Provide advice on contractual matters and support negotiation processes to safeguard project interests.

Job Requirements:

Experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
Strong technical background in construction methodologies and practices
Proficiency in cost estimation and financial forecasting
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modelling
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Effective communication and relationship management skills
Understanding of contract administration and risk management strategies
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
