Company Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Severn Trent Water framework, overseeing key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the region. The Role:

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will oversee the site management team and subcontractors, coordinating activities to ensure high-quality construction delivery in line with client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise all on-site activities across water and wastewater projects.
Lead and coordinate site teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Monitor site progress, report on project milestones, and ensure timely delivery.
Manage budgets and resources efficiently, minimizing costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring that all work meets client requirements and industry regulations.
Liaise with the client (Severn Trent Water), project managers, and other key stakeholders.
Address any on-site challenges or issues, ensuring the smooth running of the project.
Key Requirements:

Experience: Experience within a site management or site agent role, ideally within the water or infrastructure sectors.
Qualifications: Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. SMSTS and CSCS qualifications are essential.
Water Sector Expertise: Previous experience in managing water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, and infrastructure upgrades.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage site teams, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Health & Safety: Strong understanding of HSE regulations and a proven track record of ensuring compliance on site.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
