Rate: £108.99/hr (Umbrella) MAX

My client is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead is infrastructure commercial solution. The role will report to the Group Commercial Director and be accountable for leading a team of 30 FTE to deliver an annual investment programme of circa £200m per annum in five key programme areas:
* Building Works – delivering series of upgrades to existing building fabric and systems
* Civil Works – delivering new car parks and building extensions.
* Equipment Re-kits – replacing obsolete complex equipment and technology.
* Utilities Works – delivering improvement works to our electrical, gas and steam networks.
* Demolition & Decommissioning – ensuring hazardous waste is removed from surplus assets and completing safe demolition activity.
You will lead a team of commercial professionals to deliver:
* Business Partnering – Embedded with programme managers to understand business needs and translate into effective procurement strategies.
* Commercial Governance – managing commercial risk register, reporting rhythm and chairing Infrastructure Commercial Boards to ensure senior stakeholders are aware of key commercial risks and progress.
* Supplier Relationship Management – managing strategic supplier relationships and ensuring supplier deliver performance outcomes and quality framework.
* Contract Operations - ensuring monthly payment application, Fee review and that all contractual terms related to NEC3 and NEC4 contract are applied.
* Contract Change – working with project managers and suppliers to address contract change events and risk mitigation.
* Contract Disputes – address strategic disputes to protect commercial interests.
This is a new role that has been created to provide enhanced commercial leadership and accountability. As senior lead you will work with the Group Commercial Director to create the team business plan and deliver transformation in people, systems, and process to embed leading edge commercial practice.
