Teaching Assistant - North West London - Full Time - Immediate Start

Look no further We are currently recruiting for a full-time TA position at an esteemed SEN school situated in North West London, catering specifically to secondary-aged students with ASD and challenging behaviours.

We understand the significance of finding individuals who possess the patience and resilience required to assist students with ASD in a school-based setting. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and inclusive environment that empowers these exceptional students to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (ASD) at a secondary level include:

Providing one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, focusing on their individual needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Assisting in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans, ensuring that each student's educational goals are met.
Employing effective behaviour management techniques to help students with challenging behaviours regulate their emotions and engage positively in the learning environment.
Collaborating closely with the teaching staff and other professionals, such as Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, to implement specialised interventions and strategies.
Promoting social interaction and communication skills among students with ASD, facilitating their integration into the school community.
