About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding maintained special school for pupils aged 11-19 years. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students with severe and complex learning difficulties, including visual impairment, physical disabilities, autism, and challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist SEN students with daily activities, working 1:1 and within a small team to ensure they meet their learning objectives.
  • Work proactively to support students with severe and complex needs, including visual impairment, physical disabilities, autism, and challenging behavior.
  • Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting the welfare and well-being of all students.

Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative in a busy school environment.
