What You’ll Achieve:

As Head of Procurement, you will:

Lead with Vision: Develop and manage a high-performing Corporate Procurement team, setting ambitious targets and inspiring excellence.

Strategize for Success: Craft and execute a procurement strategy that delivers best value commercially while aligning with our social value and sustainability goals.

Collaborate with Purpose: Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, gaining their trust and support to implement innovative strategies.

Champion Compliance and Best Practice: Ensure adherence to legislation and internal policies, and pioneer best-in-class procurement methodologies, including cutting-edge e-tendering solutions.

Inspire Professional Growth: Chair the Procurement Forum and mentor procurement talent across the organisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Drive Supplier Excellence: Optimise supplier relationships, manage contracts effectively, and create processes that maximise value throughout the lifecycle of agreements.

Empower Through Training: Deliver engaging and practical procurement training to elevate the skills of CSG staff involved in purchasing and contract management.

What We Require:

CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent experience

An excellent technical appreciation of the range of procurement regulations applicable to CSG businesses

Ability to negotiate at the highest levels to secure best value

Expert knowledge of the Procurement Act and Public Contract Regulations

Private and Public sector experience
