As a SEND Teacher, you will work with students through various teaching methods and support, including outdoor activities. Our teachers not only play a crucial role in the students’ lives but also constantly seek fun and unique ways to make classroom learning engaging
The schools we collaborate with take pride in offering a variety of support to their students. They create customized plans tailored to each student, focusing on fostering desirable behaviours and skills. Additionally, these plans help students develop healthy relationships and qualities that are valued in society.
The schools we work with are looking for a SEND Teacher that can fill day to day, short term, and long term placements. They provide an abundance of experience, which can allow you to grow as a teacher while being paid at market leading rates. We have experienced and dedicated SEND Consultants choosing placements that suit your availability, preference and skills.
The right SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teacher will have the following:
Qualified Teacher Status/QTS, 6 months previous SEND experience
Flexible and able to cover classes last minute to cover for staff sickness or training
Lessons will often be pre-planned, however, ideally capable of planning your own lesson activities and resources
Adapting tasks to meet the needs of individual children
Effective behaviour management skills
Effective communication with members of internal staff
