Direct reports/responibility for; Assistant Business Analyst

Position summary: To continuously analyse the organisation, its operations, S2P and KPI results that affect both production and service departments. Review business processes / systems, ensuring and assessing the business KPIs are achievable. To identify continuous improvements in the quality of the services being delivered by the service departments. To support the development of new projects mainly providing post-implementation support.

Main Duties:

Identify Company Improvements through working closely with all departments and analysing their KPI’s.

Analysing processes and developing solutions to be presented to department heads and the SMT.

Building a good rapport with all departments and departments heads, from production areas through to back office support functions.

Handling daily business issues that impact the Company KPI results.

Recognise business opportunities (in both production and service departments) for S2P (safety, environmental, quality, cost, delivery, morale and productivity) and support the company to attain these goals.

Continuously work to expand, preserve and improve the company’s procedures whilst adhering to business and group policies and regulatory guidelines.

Assisting and supporting the Senior management team and Business sections with projects and business continuous Improvements.

Deployment of all systems, methods and controls across all areas of the business.

Ensure a monthly report of all actions, improvement and projects timelines are completed to show clearly activities and improvements identified.

Identifying areas that are not in keeping with company regulations, by regularly auditing/analysing process flows, reports, company procedures, work instructions etc. Ensuring that all written instruction is written in a clear concise & unambiguous way.

Develop and document processes and tools to support management understanding through businesses analytics.

Ensuring that the financial aspects and impacts of contracts and expenditure are clear to all parties.

Resolving contractual and commercial problems.

To ensure the company runs both effectively and efficiently, analysing trends and identifying improvements.

Ensure adherence to compliance, GDPR and information security rules and regulations.

Health & Safety

To ensure the Health, Safety and welfare of ALL staff specifically within the department. Carrying out relevant Risk Assessment, and Safe Systems of Work where necessary. All accidents and near misses are to be reported and countermeasure implemented as required, within a suitable time frame.

Quality

Working towards relevant standards and procedures, to ensure all engineering improvements have been formulated with quality of product in mind. Assist with any of the production teams Quality issues and propose engineering solutions to reduce the DAS levels.

Ensure control of all documentation in line with our ISO standards and internal procedures.

Cost

Ensure all parts stock including critical spares are managed in line with departmental needs. Track all departmental spends on a controlled document. Obtaining multiple quotes and vendors, to ensure quality of purchased items and cost of new components to try and reduce costs.

Delivery

To ensure all work is focused around the achievement of plans and ensuring optimum line performance, any delay is communicated to the relevant members, propose solutions to any line stoppages to ensure maximum up time. Work with production staff and other departments to ensure access to lines for the required works or modifications, as and when required.

Productivity

To ensure that continuous improvement is a focus on all engineering projects. Support achievement of Q2E projects across the production departments as required. Ensure all improvement works are controlled from cradle to grave and all relevant members are kept informed as the project progresses. Utilization of the MUDA process to remove any unnecessary tasks.

Morale

To ensure good two-way communication between all members of the department. Help with any training requirements in order for the machine to be operated not only safely but also efficiently.

Environmental

Ensure all activities are carried out in line with the company’s policies and procedures with special attention to turning off unused equipment, lights etc. All waste streams are correctly segregated.

Kaizen

To investigate, propose and apply continuous process improvements and ideas. Promote and encourage companywide Activities (Suggestion Scheme, SGA’s, 5S, TQC Activities).

Skills/Attributes Required:

* Ability to write clear and compelling process documentation and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

* Good understanding of data analysis methodologies, tools and techniques

* Sound analytical background and data analysis competencies, inc. PowerBI

* Excellent Microsoft office skills, including - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

* Excellent stakeholder management skills

* Be able to prioritize, multitask as well as work independently

* Be able to maintain quality of work and at the same time meet multiple deadlines as required

* Familiarity with accounting practices (required)

* Excellent communications skills, both written and oral (required)

* Be comfortable looking at transformation across a high number of systems and business units

* Be comfortable presenting and updating at Senior Management level

Qualifications:

Required:

* Recently qualified, part qualified or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant.

Desired:

* NEBOSH managing Safely

Experience:

Required:

* Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on change management and business process reengineering.

* Excellent analytical and communication skills,

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

* Excellent spreadsheet skills -Microsoft Excel

* Strong attention to detail
