SEN Primary Teacher - Complex Needs Class (Haringey)

Location: Haringey, London
Position: SEN Primary Teacher
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Are you a passionate, dedicated teacher with a commitment to supporting children with special educational needs? This SEN school in Haringey is looking for an inspiring Primary Teacher to lead a class of students with a range of SEN and complex needs. This role is ideal for a teacher who is experienced in adapting curriculum to meet diverse needs and who thrives in an environment that values inclusion, patience, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans that cater to a variety of abilities and complex needs, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff, therapists, and the SENCO team.
Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
Use alternative communication strategies and sensory-based approaches to enhance student engagement.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' overall development and well-being.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong understanding of SEN strategies and complex needs.
Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN and complex needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability, with the ability to inspire and connect with young learners.
Commitment: A caring and resilient attitude, dedicated to making a positive impact on each student's educational journey.
