Teacher of Girls' Physical Education - Full-Time, Permanent Position

About the Role

Position: Full-time, Permanent Teacher of Girls' Physical Education
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Location: Test Valley, Hampshire

Key Responsibilities

As a Teacher of Girls' Physical Education, you will:

Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, with a focus on girls' participation and achievement
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
Organize and lead extracurricular activities, including sports teams and clubs
Collaborate with colleagues to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles across the school

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Teacher of Girls' PE who:

Is passionate about inspiring young women to engage in sports and physical activity
Has a strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical education topics
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and motivational skills
Is committed to ongoing professional development
Can work effectively as part of a team and independently

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Physical Education or a related discipline
Experience teaching PE at secondary level (NQTs/ECTs are also encouraged to apply)
Expertise in girls' sports and physical education
Right to work in the UK
