Their expertise extends to designing with precast concrete, aluminium curtain walling, and offsite construction.Over the years, they have successfully executed diverse projects, including hotels, residential buildings, commercial structures, historic sites, and specialised civil engineering endeavours. Their approach combines in-house knowledge with flexibility, ensuring personalised services for projects of varying scales and complexities. Holding ISO 9001 certification and registration as Certifiers of Design under the SER scheme used in Scotland, their commitment to excellence and client satisfaction continues to drive their success.


Your new role

Due to increased workload, our client are seeking an energetic and motivated Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The role will involve managing projects from inception through to completion. You will undertake concept work, sketching and preparing drawings, be responsible for design calculations for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber. You will be working within a project team and liaise with drawing/Revit technicians. It is important that you attend project and site meetings and undertake site inspections.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for the Chartered Structural Engineering role, our client is looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartered status.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficient in structural design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, Masterseries Retaining Wall Suite, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
