Cybersecurity Engineer -Salary: £53,000-Location: Highbridge (2-3 days a week onsite)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a cybersecurity team at a leading manufacturing business. If you have a background in networking or cybersecurity tooling, or if you are a skilled systems engineer with a keen interest in cybersecurity, we would love to hear from you.


In this role, you will manage our organisation's security infrastructure, conduct vulnerability assessments, and develop cyber incident response plans. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify security risks and stay current with cybersecurity developments. This role offers a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies in a collaborative team environment within the manufacturing sector.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading investigations and providing technical expertise for all cybersecurity incidents.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and coordinating resolution activities among various stakeholders.
  • Offering an escalation path and supporting the development of team members through coaching and training.
  • Leading projects that positively impact the company, working with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Implementing security controls and protocols across the organisation.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
  • Managing relationships with third-party vendors to ensure they meet our security requirements.
  • Collaborating with the IT Infrastructure team, Applications Teams, and IT Helpdesk to ensure the provision and support of security for all IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and communications equipment.
  • Working with the IT Leadership Team to establish security policies and procedures that comply with industry standards and regulations.


Additional Details:

  • This role requires availability to support the business outside of regular business hours.
  • Primarily based in Acorn House, Highbridge, with travel required to our manufacturing sites in Somerset and Devon.
