Job Description

BI Platform Engineer: Data Integration, Azure Fabric, Databricks, Insurance

BI Platform Engineer required to join a Global Specialist Insurer. As part of the implementation of their brand-new data platform, you will play a leading role in the development & support of data operations for the business. With the implementation in its early phase, you will have the authority to set Data operation standards and make decisions on data platform development.

This is a data focused position, so you will have strong experience with Data Integration platforms such as Azure Fabric, Databricks and/or Snowflake. You will come from a Financial Services background, with experience supporting data pipeline operations, data modelling and understanding of data governance & integrity processes.

This is the ideal role for a BI Engineer who wants to support a growing Data Platform with the future potential to implement ML/AI toolings.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, support and configure Data Integration platform
  • Take Ownership for setting Data Governance standards for platform to ensure data is secure and accurate
  • Provide continuous performance maintenance and upgrades on the platform.
  • Provide support for data pipeline operations and code updates
  • Collaborate with Technical and non-technical stakeholders and partners

Requirements:

  • Insurance or Financial Services experience is required
  • Experience supporting Data Integration platform implementation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of ELT/ETL and data pipeline operations is needed
  • Deep understanding of data models
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
