The Role:

GAP Lifting Hire & Sales offers one of the largest ranges of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. From small shackles and slings to material lifts and aluminium gantries, the division has everything our customers need for lifting any size of load.

Reporting directly to the Technical Account Manager, the Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for maximising Lifting hire revenue opportunities from our existing major account customer. This will include carrying out inspections across multiple sites and providing the customer with solutions for the replacement or repair of failed/damaged equipment.

This role would suit a Lifting Equipment Specialist that is looking to move into a more varied 360-degree role or a technically minded, hands-on lifting professional with water industry knowledge.

**Please note, this role will be covering the North West area and so the successful candidate should be suitably located.

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience working in a sales or engineering role within the Lifting industry would be preferred however we would consider candidates from any lifting background
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • An effective negotiator and problem solver with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word, and CRM systems
  • Driving Licence (Essential)
