Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.
Let us introduce the role
As the Senior Contract Manager you will understand the requirements of contracts, frameworks and agreements that the Business entered into and advise on how to get the most favourable outcomes for AWE, that put delivery to time, cost and quality at the centre.
You will be defining contract terms, managing partner contracts, agreeing work orders and liaising with stakeholders. CEMAR is utilised to manage NEC contracts.

We are ideally seeking individuals with experience in public sector procurement / contract management, who have public procurement regulations knowledge. You will have an understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, including pre and post contract, and experience of utilising CEMAR to manage NEC contracts. You will have had previous line or task Management responsibility, stakeholder management skills and supplier relationship management skills.
To ensure success as a Senior Contract Manager, you should have previous experience defining NEC 4 and/or CCS contract terms. You will have an in-depth understanding of business requirements for the assigned areas and will be motivated to drive value for money, applying industry leading contract management techniques to mitigate commercial risk.
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:
NEC accreditation or experience.
Professional Services background.
CCS contract experience preferable.
Experience in business governance and public sector governance.
Experience in scoping deliverables.
Experience in contract variation management.
Experience in budgetary control.

Market leading contributory pension scheme (we will pay between 9% and 13% of your pensionable pay depending on your contributions).
Family friendly policies: Maternity Leave - 39 Weeks Full Pay and Paternity Leave - 4 Weeks Full Pay.

Employee Assistance Programme and Occupational Health Services.
Life Assurance (4 x annual salary).
Discounts - access to savings on a wide range of everyday spending.
Special Leave Policy including paid time off for volunteering, public service (including reserve forces) and caring.
?
Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 1-2 days onsite per week.
Important things you need to know:
