Our client is a leading engineering services contractor known for delivering exceptional projects in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection, Waste to Energy, BIM, Off Site Fabrication, and Geo-Surveying. Due to its continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced HVAC Project Engineer. As HVAC Project Engineer you are responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and operation of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems ensuring that HVAC systems are designed and implemented to meet the required specifications, standards, and efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Reporting to the Project Manager you will develop and interpret HVAC system designs, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems, according to project specifications and industry standards.

  • Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Check and select appropriate HVAC equipment, materials, components and resolve any technical issues that arise during the design and installation phases.

  • Work closely with architects, suppliers/specialist contractors, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders to develop project schedules, budgets, and timelines ensuring seamless integration of HVAC systems.

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the performance and functionality of HVAC systems enforcing quality control procedures and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure all HVAC work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safe work practices and procedures.

  • Prepare accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and inspection reports ready for submission or review.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 8+ years' experience in HVAC Project Engineering role within construction/engineering.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and design principles.

  • Proficiency in using CAD software such as Revit and HVAC design tools.

  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management abilities.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
