Job Description

Bid Manager


I am working with the UK’s leading transportation and logistics company, allowing their customers to make smarter decisions and meet business objectives through technology. They work with numerous organisations and industries, including Automotive, Defence, Engineering, FMCG, Rail, FMCG, Utilities, E-commerce and Healthcare providing supply chain capabilities across the globe.


Location

Hybrid role which is based 3 days out of their offices in Chorley.


Duties

• Manage all stages of the bidding process, responding to Request for Information (RFI), Expression of Interest (EOI), Pre- Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), and Invitations to Tender (ITT)

• Use an APMP bid management process and associated tools to manage opportunities.

• Manage the process through all stages to completion, providing structure and adhering to deadlines

• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects, track and report on tender outcomes

• Responsible for writing and creating content, working with the Bid team on specific projects and help to enrich the bid library

• Build relationships with subject matter experts, so their contributions are delivered on time and in line with what’s needed

• Ensure all proposals are aligned with guidelines and bid management standards

• Gather and coordinate technical data from internal departments and stakeholders e.g. Operations, Commercial, and interpret the material for the target audience


Skills and experience

• Experience of writing and understanding complex bid and proposal documentation for a large organisations

• Public sector exposure - MOD/CCS/NHS/Local Government and Private sector exposure - Commercial, Retail, Automotive

• Held relationships at all stakeholder levels

• APMP quals would be advantageous

• Very strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to write clearly for an international audience; an excellent eye for detail.
