Business Analyst | Edinburgh | 12 month FTC
About the Role: Our client is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial supporting the development of products and services that align with their needs and support business growth. You will collaborate with colleagues across various business functions and the technology team, employing empathy, design thinking, and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify and analyse opportunities for improvement, translating these into actionable solutions.
- Foster strong working relationships with IT colleagues and stakeholders, serving as a liaison between different functions.
- Develop comprehensive documentation of product requirements to ensure clarity across the business.
- Create and manage a backlog of user stories for the Development Team to build precise solutions.
- Maintain detailed project plans and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Oversee each phase of the development process, ensuring thorough user acceptance testing and making informed decisions on project progression.
- Provide training and support to encourage adoption and ensure colleagues are proficient in using new products.
About You:
- Skilled in collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships.
- Passionate about driving change and solving problems, considering various perspectives and business needs.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions.
- Project management experience and relevant qualifications are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient in bringing stakeholder ideas to life and suggesting product improvements.
