About the Role
To provide Facilities and technical support to plant operations and Injection Moulding Area in order to achieve departmental goals and business plan targets. Carry out maintenance duties and responsibilities on your shift and controlling and ensuring plant parameters and set points.
Your Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities – across Plant Facilities and the IMM cell
- Validation of contractor proposed technical solutions
- Management of all contractor off site & on site activities including buy-offs
- Improvement of facilities .
- Oversee external contractors engaged in both preventative and reactive maintenance works, and equipment installations ensuring adherence to all JM policies and procedures.
- Inspect construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with expected standards, design specifications and SLA’s.
- Oversee and develop the PPM programme for all building systems and IMM Plant.
- Liaise with Plant Maintenance and Automation Team where required.
- Maintain HVAC systems, building fabric, electrical / alarm systems, lighting, and other assets.
- Undertake routine inspections, testing and compliance checks including daily plant inspections, water temperature checks, fire alarm testing, emergency kit inspections, air flow readings.
- Ensure IMM checks are completed and integrity of the process is protected.
- Ensure adequate supplies, materials, consumables, tools and critical spares are available to meet the preventative and reactive maintenance needs of both Facilities and IMM.
- Assist Contractors with the planning and oversight of PPM and reactive works.
- Ensure the building meets the relevant health & safety standards and legislative requirements working with the HSE department.
- Promptly respond to employee generated maintenance requests.
- Assist with refurbishments, relocations and office space management operations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records and prepare clear and concise written reports.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and emergency response coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and stored for audits.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities -
- Adhere to health and safety aspects in all tasks and extending to all effected personnel internal and External.
- Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
- Participate in accident investigation activities, ensure near miss reporting.
- Adhere to Lock out Tag out Procedure (where applicable).
- Comply with the Safe System of Work documents .RAMS
- Ensure all contractors are signed in with the correct work permits.
- Participate in 5S processes and procedures with your area of responsibility.
- To ensure all team members wear appropriate PPE.
- Take appropriate actions in emergency situations.
Timing -
- Use and suggest improvements to Facilities equipment to improve performance and reduce running costs. i.e. Energy
- Support performance through work requests.
- Use secure spares inventory/ replenishment system in a methodical and organized manner. Ensuring all services and goods are received and booked in correctly.
- Support installation projects for new technology and equipment.
- Use the escalation procedure for any issues/concerns e.g. Quality/downtime.
Cost -
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, equipment modifications, plant, error proofing, technical systems and processes and cost down opportunities.
- Participate within the companies CIP scheme.
- Reduce waste within the maintenance processes.
- Reduce energy consumptions through initiatives and controls (ensuring weekend hours are minimized for energy consumption).

Who we are looking for
Essential
- HNC in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or similar
- Time served as an apprentice (mechanical/ electrical)
- Experience of working with Injection Moulding and Tooling.
- Be able to work own initiative and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the Company
- Experience with using Microsoft Office
- Behaves in a professional manner
- Good communicator who is open and honest
- Focused on continuous improvement with a safety mindset

- IOSH Trained
- Preventative maintenance techniques and system controls (CMMS)
