Position Summary
We are recruiting for a Commercial Business Partner for our Actalent EMEA brand, based in London and supporting our Switzerland-based operations.

The role reports into the Director of Financial Operations and will partner with the company’s Senior Sales Leaders to exceed targets, enabling the business to achieve its goals. The business is fast-paced and the role-holder will need to be very numerate and comfortable in providing commercial support and guidance, including pricing and Client Contract reviews, to the Sales function. They will need to be adaptable, with the ability to prioritise work and the ability to clearly explain the rationale behind commercial decisions. They will also be experienced and capable in working with senior stakeholders.
Core Activities
- Own deal pricing, including cross-border deals
- Own profitability analysis, support and lead in commercial decision making
- Contract negotiation support – a key link between Sales Support/Legal and the Sales Team
- Performance reporting
- Coaching Sales on business and commercial acumen
- Working with Corporate Services (accounting, legal, tax, IT, HR, Field Support) to support operations
- Supporting delivery of the Annual Planning and Budgeting process
- Contribute to tender documents and presentations
- Work collaboratively with a range of personnel from Sales and Back Office functions
- Liaise with key personnel from our clients to provide a gold-standard service
- Pragmatic problem solving for internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge and skills:
- BSc/BA degree or similar further education (ideally in a Business or Finance related subject)
- Financial qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CFA) preferred or in the process of gaining
- 5 + years post graduate experience in business and/or finance
- Contract law experience - understanding of legal and commercial agreements and mitigating risk
- Experience within the Recruitment industry would be very beneficial including pricing of solutions
- Advanced MS Office skills (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
- Financial accounting, planning, analysis, budgeting
- Experienced in providing high standards of service to customers
- Good written and great oral communication, at ease working in a fast-paced Sales environment
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality work and high levels of accuracy
