Roadworker Apprentice
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Highways and Drainage Services team as a Roadworker Apprentice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving an appropriate Civil Engineering related Qualification through hands-on work experience and attending a nominated technical college course.
Main duties include:
- Developing academic and practical skills through regular attendance at approved technical training establishments.
- Completing and understanding skilled areas of work under supervision as part of training and development.
- Planting, turfing, soiling, and seeding.
- Operating powered plant and equipment once qualified.
- General labouring work in relation to highway maintenance and construction.
- Working in trenches and other open excavations including drainage and ducting work.
Requirements include 4 GCSEs with grade D or above, including Maths and English/Welsh.
