Roadworker Development Programme

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Highways and Drainage Services team as a Highway Maintenance Trainee.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

Main Duties:

  • Developing academic and practical skills through regular attendance at approved technical training establishments.
  • Completing and understanding skilled areas of work under supervision as part of training and development.
  • Planting, turfing, soiling, and seeding.
  • Operating powered plant and equipment once qualified.
  • General labouring work in relation to highway maintenance and construction.
  • Working in trenches and other open excavations, including drainage and ducting work.

Requirements:

  • 4 GCSEs with grade D or above, including Maths and English/Welsh.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain valuable experience and qualifications in the field of civil engineering.
