Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Operations Specialist to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in managing the academy's financial functions, including:
- Managing purchase orders, invoices, and staff expenses
- Ensuring accurate bank reconciliations and managing credit card payments
- Reconciling petty cash and processing banking for cash and cheques
- Processing bursary claims and raising sales and inter-company invoices
- Liaising with budget holders and maintaining a comprehensive contracts register
- Providing financial reports and analysis to support business decisions
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Managing the academy's budget and financial resources
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
- Coordinating with external auditors and other stakeholders as required
- Providing training and support to colleagues on financial matters
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a finance department
- Strong knowledge of school finance systems and financial recording systems
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
Estimated Salary: £42,000 per annum
