Head of Financial Reporting

Robert Walters is seeking a highly skilled Head of Financial Reporting to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the financial reporting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, and contributing to the ongoing success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports in line with statutory requirements and internal deadlines.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Financial Close: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Financial Statements: Manage the development and delivery of financial statements, including balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, driving a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Drive enhancements in financial reporting systems and processes.
  • Audit: Lead audit processes, acting as the main point of contact with external auditors.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the production of VAT returns.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting skills and up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial systems skills.
