Dynamic SME Business Seeks Financial Reporting Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Reporting to join our client, a dynamic SME business, in Birmingham. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for leading the financial reporting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, and contributing to the ongoing success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports in line with statutory requirements and internal deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Manage the development and delivery of financial statements, including balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, driving a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial reporting and leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
