Prison Custody Officer

About the Role:
As a Prison Custody Officer at Serco Limited, you will be responsible for providing safe and secure escorting and custody services to detainees. Your primary focus will be on the physical and mental wellbeing of those in your care.
You will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our court services, accompanying defendants in court rooms and cells, and ensuring their food and drink needs are met. Your duties will also include completing paperwork and data entry for the day.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be reasonably fit, have good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to manage and control all situations. A current valid driver's license is also desirable.
Our Assessment Process:
We use a comprehensive assessment process to ensure we find the best candidates for the role. This includes an online assessment, a briefing call to assess eligibility, a competency-based virtual interview, and a short role-play and written exercise.
