Clinical Psychologist Paediatric Diabetes Specialist

The successful candidate will work alongside a consultant lead in the paediatric diabetes team, contributing to the care provided by a range of multidisciplinary specialist services. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinical psychologist to develop their skills and experience in working with children and young people with acute and long-term medical conditions.
We are looking for a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist, registered with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist, who has experience of clinical work with children, young people, and families within a CAMHS setting. The ideal candidate will have advanced communication skills, be able to assess the psychological needs of children, young people, and adults, and be able to provide highly complex and sensitive information in emotive situations.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide psychology services into the paediatric diabetes service, including direct and indirect clinical work.
- To provide psychological advice, consultation, training, and support for other professionals working across this care pathway.
- A degree in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology, registered with the HCPC.
- Experience of clinical work with children, young people, and families within a CAMHS setting.
- Advanced communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive complex information.
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
