About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Furniture and Flooring Salesperson. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, guiding customers through the selection and purchase process, and initiating customer interactions using our existing database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients visiting our showroom
  • Guide customers through the selection and purchase process
  • Initiate customer interactions using our existing database and actively engage with potential customers
  • Manage customer orders from sale to delivery, ensuring a seamless experience
  • Manually handle heavy furniture and flooring products in the showroom, including receiving deliveries and maintaining warehouse inventory
  • Collaborate with our business owner to develop effective sales strategies and promote best-selling products
  • Schedule flooring measures at customer residences for our flooring estimator
  • Assist with marketing and social media campaigns as needed
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure the showroom is well-presented at all times
  • Occasionally assist with customer deliveries, working alongside our delivery team
Requirements
  • Strong customer handling skills and the ability to adapt product offerings to meet customer needs
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of furniture and/or flooring sales preferred, but outstanding candidates with sales experience in other areas will be considered
  • College-level education preferred
  • Proficiency in email, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and familiarity with e-commerce websites
  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
