Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our production equipment and facilities. You will work closely with our engineering manager to ensure that our equipment is running efficiently and effectively, and that our production processes are optimized for quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and improve production equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Work closely with the engineering manager to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules.
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with food safety and health and safety standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new maintenance practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other employees as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve quality.
- FMCG/ manufacturing experience (desirable)
- Electrical knowledge and experience (fault finding)
- Experience of working in a similar role with relevant engineering qualifications
- Ability to understand a manufacturing process, analyze inputs and outputs, and develop plans to improve performance
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with good commercial awareness
- Good analytical problem-solving approach and numerical capability
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to balance day-to-day tasks with long-term planning
- IT literate
- Use of computers, CMMS, production equipment, and PPE
- Recognized electrical qualification (excluding 17th edition)
