Senior Physiotherapist Community Therapy Services

The post holder will work in the inpatient and outpatient pelvic health service at Wythenshawe and the outpatient service at Trafford hospital. We are looking to provide a single hospital service and on occasion you may be required to cover other sites including Saint Mary's and North Manchester hospital. The ideal candidate will have previous pelvic health experience and a desire to advance these skills. The post offers excellent facilities and support for continued professional development. The successful applicant can be assured of supervision, training and development within a supportive team, as well as opportunities to develop research ideas and attend academic and clinical meetings. A flexible attitude, excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential. The service accepts referrals from secondary care specialties such as orthopaedics, hand therapy, pain, pelvic health, and rheumatology.
The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of patients with pelvic health problems and deliver a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy. There are opportunities to experience running pelvic girdle pain groups as well as seeing patients in a clinic environment.
Main duties of the job
- Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management of patients with pelvic health presentations.
- Supervision of less experienced staff.
- Service development projects, such as audit and quality improvement programmes.
- Participation in a weekend Saturday rota.
